Temple Grandin reads aloud one of her inspiring children’s books, Temple Did It, and I Can, Too! Seven Simple Life Rules. The video makes a fun and useful addition to online classrooms for parents, guardians, and educators.
Candace Mathiason (Ph.D., ’10), associate professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology, is among a number of CSU alumni and faculty working on COVID-19 issues. She currently leads a research team studying the coronavirus.
Josh Johnson received his B.A. while on duty with the National Guard providing assistance to people affected by the global pandemic and is a remarkable example of Ram accomplishment and resilience.
Krystal Kappeler (B.S., '13) is passionate about helping our Colorado community thrive. As the Alumni and Scholarship Program Coordinator at the Boettcher Foundation, Kappeler's biggest focus is connecting current and alumni Scholars to leadership development opportunities.

In times like this, the ways we celebrate the most meaningful moments and milestones in our lives are changing. Though we may be separated, we still find ways to be together.
Recent graduate Michael DeMatteo (B.S., ’18) throws his entire being into whatever he does. As a result of the passion with which he lives each day, he has accomplished a great deal, turning coursework and campus activities into career success and impressive community service.
As our community celebrates Colorado State University’s 150th anniversary this year, it’s clear that much of CSU’s past lives in the heart of campus, in our beloved Oval.
