If you know the name Zack Golditch (B.A., ’17), you probably remember him as a football player for the Rams. However, those who know about his life before and after CSU have a greater appreciation for him and his courageous career.
Great things happen when like minds come together. Kristie (B.S., ’82) and Jim Docheff, Jr. (B.S., ’83) are working to ensure a successful venture that seven alumni began at the Holiday Bowl in 1997 continues to shape the leaders of tomorrow.
When Ayden Hector arrived at CSU in 2022, he brought more than his talents as a student-athlete. He also brought B.Box – short for Birthday Box – a charitable program that provides a gift of every-day essentials and party favors to students facing housing challenges or food insecurity.
Linda (Morgan) Meserve (B.S., ’86) has had a distinguished, 31-year career in Colorado State University's Procurement Services, eventually being named chief procurement officer emerita. She got there by consistently overcome obstacles -- whether learning to swim at an early age or proving herself in a male-dominated field -- and she and the University are better for it.
Whether it’s the bonfire, a picture with CAM the Ram, or honoring our distinguished alumni, there is a CSU Homecoming tradition for everyone. So many that sometimes it can be hard to choose. That didn’t stop us from asking Rams what their favorite tradition is.
Now in its 99th year, the Painting of the A remains one of the most cherished CSU traditions that helps alumni, and the entire Fort Collins community, stay connected and get excited for a new school year.
As institutions of higher education around the nation mark the 50th anniversary of Title IX, Colorado State University marked a significant milestone of its own: more women leading CSU athletics programs as head coaches than ever before.
In just three years on campus, Kamal-Craig Golaube (B.S., ’21) has been a powerful agent for positive change as well as leaving his name in the record books for track and field. He has founded one organization and played a leading role in several others that support not only student-athletes but all students of various identities.
When the deal was discussed for Canvas Credit Union to hold the naming rights to Colorado State University’s new multi-purpose on-campus stadium on June 5, 2018, the concept from both sides of the table was to form an alliance and grow together.
Forty-four years of service to Colorado State University provides some great stories, and, if you’re Doug Max, also makes a big difference. Max (B.S., ’75), who retired in January 2021, had a long and distinguished career in the CSU Department of Athletics. His passion and commitment were honored with the Spirit of Philanthropy Award as part of this year’s Celebrate! Colorado State awards announced on April 26.
