Keeping Traditions Alive

An illuminated “A” in the foothills, the swell of the fight song, and the boom of Comatose can mean only one thing – Homecoming and Family Weekend is back! From Oct. 13-15, 2022, Colorado State University’s campus will be filled with new students, returning alumni, family, and friends excited to relive old experiences and create new ones. There is so much to see and do during Homecoming, and what makes the weekend so memorable is it is filled with CSU traditions that we all hold dear. Some traditions stretch all the way back to the University’s founding in 1870, some were developed after Colorado A&M became Colorado State University in 1957, and some traditions are brand new. Whether it’s the bonfire, a picture with CAM the Ram, or honoring our distinguished alumni, there is a tradition for everyone. So many that sometimes it can be hard to choose. That didn’t stop us from asking Rams what their favorite tradition is. Check out what they had to say and don’t forget to visit https://homecoming.colostate.edu/ so you don’t miss your favorite Homecoming and Family Weekend tradition.
