When he arrived at San Diego State University, Mario Garcia (B.S., ’23) was ready to enter a career in cybersecurity. But when COVID hit, a career spent in front of a computer screen became far less appealing. That’s when Garcia decided to transfer to CSU and pursue a degree and career in health and exercise sciences, which ultimately landed him an internship with the LA Dodgers.
For David Leopold (B.S., ’15), construction manager of the LSC’s North End renovation project, working to improve the LSC has been both an honor and a “blast from the past.” Especially when you consider how much time he spent in the LSC as an undergrad.

When Maya Siegel (B.S., ’22) arrived on the Colorado State University campus, she knew what it meant to be productive. Yet there was still much to learn in college, including that getting the degree is only one part of the experience and how it’s possible to turn passion into profession.
Dr. Stephanie Marie Little Thunder Morphet-Tepp (Ph.D., ’19) had her feet planted firmly on the ground in her pursuit of science until she decided to exchange her lab coat for a leotard. With that, and the strength of her hair, she was ready to fly.
Keeping over 250,000 living CSU alumni connected is no small feat. Members of the Alumni Association are the backbone of this effort, making it possible for the Alumni Association team to meet Rams where they are. As our staff and volunteers reflect back on the successes of 2022, we are overwhelmed by the continued support and participation of alumni who truly show us what Ram Pride is all about.
Kwon Atlas (B.A., ’16) has a simple philosophy – bring as maybe people together as possible to create equity, lead change, and build the community up – and from his days on the CSU campus to his current ventures, he has used this philosophy as a guide for walking the path and doing the work.
