Whether it’s the amazing scenery, the world-class academics, or the sense of community you feel on campus, there is a lot to love about Colorado State University. Colorado Governor Jared Polis feels the same way, and that’s why he has officially proclaimed April 18 as “I Love CSU Day.” That means, by the Governor’s order, it is incumbent for everyone to show their love for CSU, Rams, and all things green and gold.
For those near campus, I Love CSU Day is the perfect time to return to their alma mater and see people and places awash in green. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be CSU swag to pick up at the Lory Student Center Plaza. Plus, from 10 a.m. to noon, you’ll have a chance to grab a selfie with CAM the Ram on the Plaza. All campus coffee shops will feature a special-edition I Love CSU Day drink, and for those 21 and older, there will be celebratory happy hours at Prost Brewing Co. & Biergarten in Fort Collins and at the DNVR Bar in Denver. There will also be special deals around Fort Collins from such favorite local vendors as the Waffle Lab and Walrus Ice Cream.
But it doesn’t matter where you are. Showing your love for CSU is as easy as wearing green, snapping a picture, and sharing on social why you love CSU using #ILoveCSUDay. Did you meet your best friend or significant other while attending CSU? Want to shout out your favorite professor or call out the tradition you hold most dear? No matter what is, we want to know! So don’t forget to share it all on April 18.
We can’t wait to see how you celebrate I Love CSU Day and show your Ram Pride. Here’s to the green and gold!
