Ellie Martinez (B.S., ’23) is a soon-to-be new alumna who truly shows what it means to live the values that makes Colorado State University great. She's also this year's Albert C. Yates Award winner and newest CSU Alumni Association Life Member.
Linda (Morgan) Meserve (B.S., ’86) has had a distinguished, 31-year career in Colorado State University's Procurement Services, eventually being named chief procurement officer emerita. She got there by consistently overcome obstacles -- whether learning to swim at an early age or proving herself in a male-dominated field -- and she and the University are better for it.
Karen (B.S., ’80) and Randy (B.S., ’80) Blach are part of an extended family of more than 80 people who have attended Colorado State University. Although they have set the bar high for relatives who follow, they gladly welcome the next generation and see a bright future for CSU and its influential role in agriculture.
Alumni Association Lifetime Member Jim Vidakovich (B.A., ’69; M.A., ’76) has always been passionate about introducing kids to the arts. With the help of famed pianist Jim Brickman, he's continuing that passion by holding a benefit concert at Griffin Concert Hall on October 1.

In March 2021, Maxine Cofino (B.A., ’10) and Desiree Munoz opened The Lemon Girls stand in San Antonio, Texas, offering fresh-squeezed beverages made from a host of locally grown produce. The business was an immediate success, but Cofino’s journey to that cool moment was as colorful as her luscious libations.
Megan Larson (B.F.A., ’08) and her husband Miles (B.S., ’20), better known as “Mick,” were born in Choteau, Montana, a town of about 1500 people. Her journey to award-winning business owner in Northern Colorado is about making the most of every opportunity, working hard, and helping others.
Green and gold run deep in the veins of the Heap family: Matt (B.A., ’94) and Beth (B.S., ’93) Heap fell in love on campus, are Lifetime Alumni Association Members, and their daughter, Taylor (B.S., ’22), represents the third generation to attend Colorado State University. The family's Ram Pride will culminate on May 13 when they kick-off Commencement by ringing the Old Main Bell.
Shirley Stanosheck (B.S., ’43) turns 100 years old this month. Her story, which begins on Colorado's eastern plains and winds down the Front Range, has taught her some meaningful life lessons.
