From that first sip to making conversation, Hannah Norris (B.S., ’20) has always loved the entire coffee shop experience. As she prepares to open Arboretum Coffee in Fort Collins she's taking that love to a whole new level by adding in a shot of social justice and a pump of community.
The final Old Main Bell ringer of the football season was none other than Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Blanche Hughes (M.E.D., ’84; Ph.D., ’95), who helped CSU celebrate Senior Day on November 18. The day was made even more special when the Rams solidly defeated Nevada.
On Saturday, in honor of Military Appreciation Day, CSU's own ROTC leaders Colonel Gregg Johnson and Lieutenant Colonel Matt Tillman had the honor of ringing the Old Main Bell. It was a fitting moment for the two leaders who have done so much to keep military instruction and the ROTC a part of CSU's heritage and culture.
Alumni, former CSU ROTC Cadet, and 2023 Old Main Bell ringer, Lieutenant Colonel Matt Tillman, who leads CSU's U.S. Army Ram Battalion, has a new accolade to add to his decorations, awards, and medals - Professor of Military Science of the Year Award.
Karen (B.S., ’88) and Steve (B.S., ’87) have a lot of Ram and State Pride. They met and married while at CSU, Steve and their two sons all played for the Rams, all three of their children attended CSU, and today the family continues to live their aggie roots by operating a cattle ranch in North Park. That's why they'll be ringing the Old Main Bell on Oct. 28 before the Rams take on Air Force.
Mark (B.S., ’76; M.S., ’88) and Neyla (B.A., ’79) Driscoll will receive two honors this Homecoming and Family Weekend - receiving the Jim and Nadine Henry Distinguished Alumni Award and ringing the Old Main Bell.
It's been a momentous year for President Amy Parsons - 16th President of Colorado State University and only the third alum to serve in that role - and the excitement continues on Sept. 2 when President Parsons will kick off the football season by ringing the Old Main Bell before the Rams take on Washington State University.
For Isabella Wells (B.S., '22), arriving at CSU was like lighting a spark that ignited her passion and helped her become the person she is today. Whether it was attending baseball games as a kid or winning flag football championships during her time at Colorado State University, sports have always been an important part of Katie George's (B.S., ’20) life. Despite her love of all things athletics, the marketing major never expected to pursue a career in that industry until she discovered CSU's Sports Management Institute. That experience not only helped her see how many job opportunities there were in the sports world, it led her to her dream job with the Colorado Rockies.
Last month, hundreds of Rams donned their cap and gown, walked across the stage at Moby Arena to receive their degrees, and stepped into a new world ready to begin pursuing their careers.
