For Colorado State University alumnus Joe Sertich, curator of dinosaurs at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, discovering and naming new dinosaurs is all part of his day job. 2020 is shaping up to be a big year for his lab.
He’s in the process of naming several new creatures he found in Utah and New Mexico – three-horned, two dome-headed, one armored, one new tyrannosaur, and one small, plant-eating dino. And the fun never stops: Earlier this year, Sertich and paleontologist collaborators were called into a construction site in Colorado, where workers had happened upon some fossils.
