Native American Cultural Center, Sept. 3, 2019
Yufna Soldier Wolf, director of the Northern Arapaho Tribal Historic Preservation Office, visits the Native American Cultural Center. Soldier Wolf shared how her ancestors used the land around Fort Collins and Estes Park and would meet at the “Council Tree,” a 120-year-old cottonwood that stood in southeast Fort Collins near the Cache La Poudre River. She came to campus to be interviewed by film producer Frank Boring for the documentary he is creating in honor of CSU’s sesquicentennial.
