1970s
Ronald Druva (B.S., ’70) served in Regular Army, Airborne & Ranger Schools from 1971 to 1974. Druva then went on to teach History of the US Economy for Chapman College and work as Economist/Planner for The USDI Bureau of Land Management and the State of New Mexico. After going on to become an Analytical Chemist for NM Dept. of Health., a Martial Arts instructor, a Writer, and an Illustrator, Druva is now retired.
2000s
Todd Mitchell (M.F.A., ’02) had two books published in fall, 2021. The Namer of Spirits is a steampunk eco-fantasy that’s been optioned for film/TV development. Reviewers have called it, “Simply splendid,” and “A luminous and essential story for all ages… Everyone should read this.” Todd also released Breakthrough: How to Overcome Doubt, Fear, and Resistance to Be Your Ultimate Creative Self. Early reviewers have called it, “A dazzling foray into the worlds of creativity,” and “An immensely valuable book!”
Richelle Carlstrom (B.A., ’03) and Brady Carlstrom (B.S., ’00) welcomed their first child, Caden Leo Carlstrom in October, 2021.
2010s
Staci McDermott (B.A., ’11) and Tyler Dermott (B.S., ’12) welcomed their first child, Roman Jackson McDermott, in October, 2021.
