In March 2021, Maxine Cofino (B.A., ’10) and Desiree Munoz opened The Lemon Girls stand in San Antonio, Texas, offering fresh-squeezed beverages made from a host of locally grown produce. The business was an immediate success, but Cofino’s journey to that cool moment was as colorful as her luscious libations.
CSU alum acting as the mentor he wished he had for first-generation students
Arthur Valdez was the first person in his family to go to college, and said he felt a little lost when he stepped on the CSU campus for the first time. Now, he's acting as a mentor to first-generation students through a new scholarship.
